Hope Not Fear Project
The Hope, Not Fear Project is for ordinary Americans saying: enough. Enough chaos. Enough division. Enough dishonesty.
We’re bringing people together — Democrats, Republicans, Independents, no matter your job, income, religion, or background — to talk, listen, and rebuild trust.
Starting December 2025, Joe Walsh is traveling across the USA for listening tours. This is your chance to be heard, share your perspective, and take action.
Instead of feeling anxious or powerless, your participation will make a real difference.
Civic Pledge for “We Are Not Okay” Gatherings
Across our country, families, communities, and even entire states are being torn apart by partisanship. Too often, we are led to believe that we cannot love or respect our neighbor if they vote differently than we do. We are being played by politics driven by money and power, not the common good. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can — and must — do better.
We come together as Americans — not as partisans. Our purpose is not to debate, score points, or divide, but to model a better way forward: listening, respect, and shared values.
Listen First
Hear others fully before responding, even when their views differ from your own. True understanding comes from listening with an open heart, not just waiting for your turn to speak.
Speak with Respect
Use thoughtful, civil language in all interactions. Avoid personal attacks, name-calling, or dismissive behavior, because respect is the foundation of trust and community.
Find Common Ground
Root conversations in dignity, fairness, service, opportunity, and love of country. Focus on what unites us as Americans rather than what divides us politically.
Build Forward Together
Share constructive ideas that foster healing, renewal, and unity. Protect the integrity of dialogue by avoiding clips taken out of context and practicing “I’ve gotcha”: approach others with honesty, care, and a genuine belief that together we can do better.

Why is Joe Walsh Here?
"I helped contribute to that division — and I regret it. Now, I’m determined to do my patriotic duty: to help heal, to rebuild, and to strengthen our democracy. Division is unsustainable. It’s time to build bridges, listen honestly, and unite this country again.
We are having, filming, and disseminating conversations with the American people - tough, honest, respectful, uncomfortable, challenging, hopeful, and super unique conversations - among & between regular Americans of all persuasions & beliefs in order to help increase empathy & understanding, help heal the divide, and help renew our commitment again to be responsible citizens in this 250yr old experiment in democracy. We believe this is the only way fascism will be defeated and democracy will be saved. Through these tough conversations. No one else is doing this. There is a craving for this. Because damn near every American knows we aren’t okay. And only honest conversation can fix us."
